Cookie policy
This page explains which cookies vivaipomili.it uses, why, and how you can manage them. Last updated: October 2026.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that the site stores in your browser. They make pages work, remember a choice or measure how the site is used. Some are essential, others require your consent.
Cookies we use
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
vivai_consent | Stores the choice made in the banner (accepted categories, date, version). | 180 days | Necessary |
pll_language | Remembers the chosen language (Italian or English). | 1 year | Necessary |
wordpress_test_cookie | Checks that the browser accepts cookies when a form is used. | Session | Necessary |
wp-settings-*, wordpress_logged_in_* | Administration session: only present for users who sign in to the dashboard. | 1 year / session | Necessary |
comment_author_* | Remembers the details of comment authors. Comments are not enabled. | 1 year | Necessary |
We do not use profiling cookies, advertising pixels or third-party analytics. The “Statistics” and “Marketing” categories exist in the banner to make the choice explicit and stay disabled: no such tool is active today.
External content: the map
The “Where we are” page includes a map provided by Google. The map loads automatically when the page opens, so Google may set its own cookies and receives your IP address. If you turn the “External content” category off in the cookie preferences, the map is not loaded and a placeholder is shown instead. Google’s notice is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Consent and withdrawal
On your first visit a banner lets you accept, reject or choose category by category. Accept and reject have equal prominence and no category is pre-selected except necessary cookies. Your choice lasts 180 days and is recorded in an internal log with date, categories, version, language, IP hash and browser type, to demonstrate consent (retention: 24 months).
You can change your mind at any time: use the Cookie preferences button in the footer or delete cookies in your browser. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). Blocking necessary cookies may prevent form submission or language switching. The steps vary by browser and version.
