About us
More than thirty years of plants grown in Grottammare
From a family legacy of traditional crops to a nursery specialised in Mediterranean plants, for trade customers and private gardens.
Our origins
A business that began with a family legacy
The nursery of Pomili Maria Pia started more than thirty years ago in Grottammare, in the province of Ascoli Piceno, from a genuine passion for growing and caring for plants.
The business grew out of an important family legacy: crops handed down by Maria Pia’s father, which became the first production core and the foundation of a company built with dedication and skill. The first plot of land in Contrada Bore Tesino, Grottammare, followed — and most of our production still takes place there today.
From a family farm, the nursery has gradually grown into a reference point for landscaping professionals, garden centres, gardeners and green-sector operators.

How we work
Three principles, from propagation to delivery
Quality of the plants
Every plant is followed at each stage, from propagation to potting or root-ball preparation, to guarantee high standards and uniform production.
Commercial reliability
Real batches, verified availability and clear delivery times: we work with garden centres, contractors and designers who need certainty.
Attention to the customer
Direct advice on species, sizes and uses, with the knowledge of people who grow the plants and know how they behave in a garden.
Identity and territory
Growing between the sea and the hills
Working in Grottammare means growing in a favourable climate between the Adriatic and the hills, which contributes to the quality and hardiness of our plants. Our connection with the area and with the farming tradition of the Marche region is a founding value.
Our production focuses on robust, well-shaped plants that are ready to plant out, with particular attention to resistance and adaptability. The result is an essential catalogue, specialised in the species that respond best to the Mediterranean climate.
